To pass away in his mommy's arms in a sunbeam. I think that is the dream all cats have for their last minutes on earth. He was so blessed to have someone as compassionate and caring as you, Peg. He went to his next life a very happy boy and he'll never forget you and the time spent here on earth. Don't be surprised if your other babies start acting a little like him. He's just coaching them -- telling you he loves you from a dimension we can't see -- he'll always be right beside you.

So sorry to hear that Rufus has gone to Rainbow Bridge but it sounds like he had a beautiful passing...in your arms with the sun rising. He has many itchmo friends to get to know...
May the pain you are feeling today soon be replaced by the wonderful memories of the time you spent together.

Thank you Cato for starting this beautiful tribute to Rufus. A a big thank you to all who contributed. DH and I are very blessed. Today we received a card from Angel vet. On the cover is a big red long haired beautiful kitty. Inside, her writing: Dear Mr and Mrs My condolences on the loss of Rufus. He was a sweet and gentle boy - a bit on the shy side - who was always a pleasure to see. He handled his treatments like a gentleman and bore no grudges. You were fortunate to have crossed paths. He will be missed. Sincerely, AV She is so very right and more than fortunate to have crossed paths, DH and I were very blessed to have crossed paths with "a sweet and gentle boy". We are so very blessed to have all of you and AV as well. |
