I thought today is a good day to bump this up again in case anyone wants to light a candle for their pets or the others affected by the recalls.

Just a message to say that the candles I light with no dedication are for everyone who has a concern, as well as for some unspecified concerns of my own. I know that lacks the personal note, but I am experiencing limitations of time and energy, so that is the only way I light them at times. When possible, I might list things the candle is for, such as health, in the dedication area.

I want to light a candle in loving memory of my two boys that died within 5mos. apart, due to the sick people that poisoned the dog food. My heart will never mend without my babies. To my beautiful boys, my best friends, my life......My Mr.Crashie, and My Baby Boo. I miss you so very much.

Oh Faith56-3, your post brought tears to my eyes, I can feel your heartache. Bless your heart, I didnt know your babies but I will light a candle for them too. Im glad you came to Itchmo, maybe if you feel like it later, you could share some stories and pictures of your babies, only if you are able to, I know it can be hard to do that.

Faith 56-3 I am sorry for the loss of your beloved babies. There are many people here that have walked the road of heartache and yet they offer such great support and comfort. Please know that your babies are looking down on you with love. I feel your loss too. Welcome, God bless.

Faith56-3, I am glad you have joined us on the Itchmo Forums, but very sorry about the sad circumstances that brought you here. Did you lose Mr. Crashie and Baby Boo back in 2007, or later on due to the effects of the poisoned food? What sort of dogs were they? If you'd like, I can separate this part of the thread off into a special memorial to them, and you could also post pictures of them if you'd like. Would love to hear about any other pets you may have, too.

Me too! I would love to hear about Mr Crashie and Baby Boo, Im sure they are very special. Sometimes talking about them and sharing their stories can help with the sadness. I know they wouldnt want you to be sad, although I know that can be easier said than done. Even if its too hard for you to talk about them yet, please know that we are here for you and hope that you stay on here at Itchmo with us.

Dear Menusux, thank you so much for the link to the candle site. I just put a candle there for my precious Barkley Peepeton whom I had to put down at the emergency clinic Monday night. My dear Barkley was 18 1/2 years old and had CRF. He was the sweetest, most gentle cat that could be. He was always the peacemaker of his family, and when the other cats had spats he would go and put himself in the middle and calm everyone down. He has been ill with CRF and on ringers for a couple years, since shortly after the petfood debacle. I will never know for sure, if that is what gave him his kidney disease. Even though I know he was old, and had not been living the life a cat should live for a long time, he couldn't jump up on things any more and had trouble walking because of his arthritis too, nevertheless he remained as sweet and gentle as always, and never got grouchy. I looked it up and he was 90 or 91 in people years. I know that he was an old man, but that doesn't help me to stop missing him so much. I put his name on the Rainbow Bridge list too, and it will be there for the Monday night candle ceremony. Thank you again for writing about the candle website. Barb Weimann

BW,
So sorry to hear about Barkley Peepeton (what a great name!). It sounds like he was a gentle boy who had a great caregiver. If you would like to talk about him, we would love to hear your stories.
