Ah yes the memories of this beloved cat boy. My fondest one is when you would share his 'body slams' with us. He will be in my heart forever.

What great photos, mainecoonpeg,
Haha, yay for cardboard boxes and wicker baskets! He looks like he had a fun life and he was very much loved.
Sending many warm, wonderful thoughts out to you and gentle cutie Gizmo.

Body slams and boxes.......the best. Gizmo was about 6 months old when he got his first BIG box. He flipped it over onto himself and proceeded to wander around the house completely covered by the box. He would bang the box into walls, back up and continue on his box bumper car kitty way. I always made sure that staircases were inaccessable. If I took the box off of him he would cry like a dopey little kid. One day, a friend stopped at my house while Gizmo was doing box bumper car kitty. We were going over x-rays and she kept looking down and didn't say a word, but she was so very distracted. Finally she blurted out that I had a box moving around my house. I said I knew and it was Gizmo. She ran to take the box off of him and he made the most pitiful sounds. She asked what was wrong with him and all I said was "Put the box back over him and leave him alone." It was always fun when folks witnessed that for the first time. Wonderful memory.

That must have made some picture of Gizmo doing the box bumper car kitty driving completly covered by the box. I can see in my minds eye and brings a smile to my heart. He was loved because you made him come alive with his antics and your descriptions of this beautiful lil boys escapades.

Sweet memories, peg. I'm sorry I never 'knew' Gizmo, he sounds amazing - that box habit made me smile so much and those pics show what a special boy he was.

Two years? In some ways it seems longer and in others, it seems like yesterday. I'm glad you have happy memories to bring you some comfort. Gizmo had a wonderful life and was well loved by many people. Keeping you in my thoughts today because I know how hard those anniversary dates can be. Hugs cm5

Peg...{{{HUGS}}} to you. I know how sad anniversaries are....I am glad though, you have such happy memories of Gizmo. What a strange sight that box game was! Isn't it ironic that with all the money people spend on fancy toys for pets nowadays....their favorite ones are always the free ones, like boxes.
