As my family and I approach the 1/2 year birthday of our "little H" as Jack is now known...we realize that it has been that long since we lost our pal Harry.  Cry  Not a day goes by in this house that his name is not spoken.  Although we usually say "H" when referring to him as Lucy will still look at us with a tilted head when hearing his name.  He is, and will always be, larger than life to us. It is the same as those of us who have lost loved ones when they were young, like Mike with his mom...they become immortal in the body they had when they left us...young and beautiful...I know that no one but Mike and I were supposed to have Harry...I know that because even though he is no longer with us, and was with us only a short time, we are forever changed by our journey with our Hody.  We know that without going through what we did with Harry, we would not see a side of humanity that we saw here We both were busy with our lives in the everyday hum-drum to realize what taking the time to show another person kindness and concern --when it is needed the most ---really means..We are forever changed by the posters here at itchmo that probably we will never meet, but feel safe and loved by.  There is a special bond between us because of Harry and his illness and the outpouring of support of strangers...it has changed us.  It was so easy to talk about Harry here and I didn't realize it was special here until I tried to post about him at another forum and found it very hard to talk about Harry...the real Harry...the scaredy cat chicken Harry that all of you got to know..the stories that I have not shared with anybody else...just here...where his memory was forever going to be safe... I cry of course, but mostly smile now as I was the lucky one to have Harry, albeit much too short, and to have all of the Harry stories....so thank you...for caring about some strangers that you may never meet...

What beautiful, heartfelt words, Carol.  Harry changed our lives too, as you shared your journey with him, both good and bad.  Yes, we may "only" know each other through this website, but that doesn't take away from the wonderful community that has formed here around common causes, interests and support.  Harry had a big part in that!

Carol- I think your sharing Harry with us made us all connect more. I know I laughed with you at the funny Harry stories, and I cried with you as he got worse. For people who have never met and probably never will,we have become a remarkable family full of help and caring.

Carol, what a wonderful description of the profound connection you had with Harry, and how that strikes a chord with others who have seen those connections too, one that resonates out into the world.

Carol, I feel that I have been a receiver of much goodness in your sharing of Harry.  It is a privilege to have known him in your stories, and to know you.  And I am also sure that your stories will benefit many others we don't know--people who do not belong to the forum, but perhaps just happen upon it and read about Harry--people who will learn, like we did, what it means to love, to have courage, and to let go.

Carol, although I came in late, when I read through Harry's stories, I laughed and cried my eyes out.  I really appreciated getting to know Harry through you, he was so special.  When I am down and thinking about Mr. Brown and Snowy, which is pretty much everyday, I can't help thinking of you, Mike and Harry and others like Kaffe.  I can't help but cry for all of them and feel blessed that I got to know them through this forum.  Thank you again for sharing Harry with us, he will always have a special place in my heart.

Its an honor to get to read about Harry and all that he went thru and the great stories of his too short life.  He is one of a kind and will never be forgotten by you and Mike as well as many of us here.  I hope to still see some some more wonderful pics of his dear face when and if you feel you can.  Many  Kiss to sweet Harry.
