What a beautiful spot to be laid to rest and knowing others are there to comfort you.

Another Thursday is here and it is hard to believe it is 8 weeks since Harry left us...we feel it has been so much longer than that since we had him with us--but now to look at Jack who is 8 weeks today we realize it has not been that long...it is also 8 years ago today that my mom passed...her passing was at her choosing after fighting on a respirator for 3 months---she was able to let her doctor know she had had enough the night before she passed...that gave us some comfort to know she was ready--Mike was on call that night as a resident so he was there with me and also my niece--I do believe that Harry too told me he was ready...it just wasn't what I wanted to believe...

It has always been about numbers with me...my dad was an accountant but called himself a mathematician (whatever that really is) and he would play number games with us at a very young age so my sister and I were number savy early on...it is why numbers have meaning to me I guess...to know it is 8 weeks since losing Harry, 8 weeks that little Jack has been in this world and 8 years my mom (Harriet-who Harry was named after) has left us.. Huh.and then there is the 3 year anniversary of Barkley's passing--on the 3 month anniversary of Harry's passing....makes me wonder if my dad is trying to tell me something? Wink

Yesterday was two months Harry left us and I was thinking of him so much all day and then I go into the livingroom right before Mike got home and what did I see?   But my old brown shoe on the gold pillow bed that is now in the livingroom where the blue bed used to be.... Smiley...it was not the same as waking up in the morning with that same shoe  on my pillow.. Kiss..but now I know for sure that Harry had something to do with us getting little Jack! no doubt in my mind.... Cry Kiss

No doubt in  my mind either. What a wonderful and sweet sign from Harry. He knew it would make you laugh and that you would understand exactly what it meant...Harry you are a sweetheart.

Yesterday i received the rough draft of the article about Harry that will be published next month -- I had such a mix of sadness and being so proud of him.. Cry.I can not wait to share his story as the article mentions this forum and how wonderful it is....I know now and in the future that you all allowing me to feel the need to chat about my quirky Harry---all I have to do is read his Hope for Harry thread and know it is real and forever and those very special little moments that might have been forgotten as we get older and busier will never leave Mike and me.  We sometimes think that certain things will never be forgotten but they are through no fault of anyone....

so I guess what I am trying to say is to share these stories that you all have of your guys, write them down, as they will be there forever to go back and read....already it means the world to us so I can not imagine in 1 or 5 years from now how so very important this forum was at a very important time in my life.
