In memory........
Chucky...My friend...Passed May 13, 2007, One year today
------------------------------------------------------------------
Beloved Chucky

There is a star shining just for me,
It is your love for all to see
I have not forgotten, your memory is not erased
Others are new in my heart, but you are not replaced
You are forever my little boy
Whose very life brought me joy
I miss you, I miss you
I love you, I do.
I am sending my love thru the sky , just to you,
Can you feel it? It is so big I know you do.
This is my little love song to you, Dear Chucky
My precious love , of which I have been so lucky
To have you in my life, my little human goat
So this love I send you , it is a coat,
A glowing coat of Mommy love
Made just for you up above.

I love you Chucky...You chose me...somewhere in the scheme of things ,in all the things I do not understand, you chose me.Of all the combinations of babies and furparents imaginable in this big world, you chose me.I take that with me into this year. You forever changed me and are forever part of me....You chose me ....you chose me.

I think Chucky and Bart crossed over together.  I'm glad they didn't have to do it alone.

Beautiful poem!  I'm sure your coat of love will keep Chucky warm until you are together again.

Thank you all for the kind and caring comments.
Chucky broke my heart but he gave me back my heart. His special gift to me was to help me find the joy and love that surrounds me.I believe that as we heal from a great heartbreak, we learn who we are .
Our beloved pets leave us gifts that take time to discover.  They make us better people .That is part of their legacy to us.Chucky will live on forever in my heart and in my actions. He has truly changed me .
 I will always love him.

I wrote this a few days after Chucky's one year marker...I felt he had led us to a starving little horse, not once , but twice.. I really feel Chucky had a hand, well , hoof, in this........................................................................

After Chucky died no one could have told me or would I have believed that a year later our little farm would be home to 23 animals, all beloved pets.

When Chucky ruled the roost here we had 7 "stinkin" horses as Chucky would describe them and 4 goats or "3 too many" as Chucky felt.
And now I see Chucky laughing his goat butt off as he keeps sending babies our way...

In my heart I got his letter....
"I'm gonna keep ya busy Mom, we got all these babies that need homes and I put ya at the top of the list...so you make room Mom cause I'm keepin them comin'..don't whine Mom, I know ya love it...why look at Linin..he used to be loved by a little girl whose Daddy did not want to take care of him anymore..so he ends up at auction, then in some other horrible place but hey I stepped in and said wait a min , give this guy a break. send him to my mom she's such a sucker...she can't say no to anything...remember she brought that stinkin Nugget home, ya could smell him a mile away, now he was disgusting even for me...and Lily with half a face missin..hey Lily no offense you were always beautiful to me...and Bob well ya can take him back to where ya got him ! he's a good for nuthin ,igloo stealing...well I digress, anyway as I was saying...send all the sad sacks to mom she'll take care of em....So whatdayathink? Mom? Did I do good? ya love 'em don't ya?

HAHAHA I told everyone here you'd take em in and love em in 20 seconds flat...prob did not take ya that long....Mom gotta go now you can thank me later...hahaha...one last thing ya got any idea how fat Bob looks from up here?...put him on a diet!...Love to my Mommy, Chucky..

ps ...Rusty wants me to remind you that she sent Patches and sees everyday how much Dad loves her. Rusty is a beamin with pride over that one ...yeah she did good, gotta admit....bye for now ...Love, Chucky
