OK, mgt. I wouldn't normally read stuff like this, but...I'm sitting at my desk, at work, typing through tears -- pretending it's my allergies. Thanks for finding such a beautiful story. It's probably no coincidence that the little cat was "the little orange boy." That's what I often called Red -- and Sept 27 will be one year since he left my sight. I guess he must have had a little chat with you. Peace.

I had a little orange boy kitten who left me much too soon - it could have been his story.

Mgt,
Last week we went to the beach for a few days to celebrate my birthday. It was the first trip we had taken since we lost our kitty Bennie in June.

The morning of my birthday we went down to the beach to watch one of the most beautiful sunrises we've ever seen. In my mind I was thanking my late father and Bennie for giving me such a wonderful birthday present when DH said, "Look over your right shoulder". I turned around to see a beautiful rainbow. We both remarked that it had been ages since either of us had seen a rainbow and it was a bit strange as it hadn't been raining. There were several others on the beach and many people turned to look at the rainbow and take pictures (we left our camera in the room).

When we got home I was looking through the posts on itchmo and read the story you posted, "Choices". Below is a quote from the story.

The kind lady nodded. "You'll be in the eyes of every kitty she looks at. You'll be in the purr of every cat she pets. And late at night, when she's fast asleep, your spirit will snuggle up close to her and you both will feel at peace. One day soon, you can even send her a rainbow to tell her you're safe and waiting here for when it's her turn to come."
