Thank you all so much!
Chanel was the mommy-cat to everyone and they loved her. They knew something was wrong by her lack of activity and her smell. They'd all come to her throughout the day, give her a few licks on her head. It's quiet here now.
I'm so grateful to have found Itchmo and thanks again for your words of support.

I've come very late to this thread, Sofia... and I saddened by your loss of valiant Channel {{{hugs}}} She is now young, joyful and playful again at the Rainbow Bridge, romping and chasing butterflies with all her new-found Itchmonean angel kitties... but I know you will miss her physical presence everyday.

Sofia: The decision is so hard. The loss so great. Chanel is with so many Itchmo Angels, free of pain, and lives forever in the hearts of her family. I join in being sorry for Chanel's loss, and celebrate her life with you. 3Cat

Sophia,
I am so very sorry for your loss of your beloved Ms. Chanel. Each of us has to find their own way of honoring their memory. I find myself honoring my pets in my yoga class, I place all of them in a tree that I can see during practice and dedicate the practice to them.
You will find something that is special for you to cherish the memories of Chanel.

Sofia,
I just found this thread, and I'm so sorry that you lost sweet Chanel. You must be a great Cat Mom 'cause you gve her a nice, long life. Sixteen years is awesome!
Here's a poem for you and Chanel.
Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond’s gilt on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn’s rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush, I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there, I did not die.
- Author unknown
RIP sweet Chanel, and may time heal your CatMom's heart.
