I'm so sorry Bug to hear you had to let Bones go. It was wonderful you could be with him and help him have his last trip outside in the security of your arms.

Bug, I am so, so sorry. Having lost a cat myself in the very same way, I know how traumatic an experience this can be. I'm glad you had a good day together yesterday, and I'm glad his final moments were without pain and in a place he loved to be. Godspeed, dear Bones.

Thank you everyone. You all make me cry more, but it's because I'm so touched that all of you care enough to write and help me. My dh even came back from his fishing trip today for me and my neighbor has been a hero for watching Bones while I ran out to get help.
As heartbroken as I am, the one thing I a so very thankful for, though he had to suffer until the vet could come -- was that I was home. This could have happened after I had gone to work. That would have been devastating for me, knowing he was in that condition while I was away. I have a camera that keeps an eye on them while I'm at work, but I can't check it every minute of the day. Thank God I was home.
I would do everything all over again for him and others like him. It might tear another hole in my heart, but they would not have known true love without me showing them what it's all about. I got it all back and more. I have asked my vet to donate the floral arrangement money to a stray cat rescue that I like and I'll be contacting the researcher I have spoken to who is doing the FATCAT study on Plavix vs. ASA to see if I can help with some additional funding. If I can help another cat with this condition avoid a clot, I am sooo there.
Thanks again for all your support. You mean so much to me. Please tell all your little angels to watch out for Bones and to let him know that a candle will be burning in the apple tree tonight so he knows where home is.

How very sad to read of Bones' passing. It sounds like you had a wonderful last few days together and he didn't suffer much at the end. And it's also a blessing he was able to stay at home and not have to make that awful last car ride to the vets' office. But I'm sure your heart is breaking right now to have lost him so suddenly. Prayers for you and Angel Bones who is with his family & friends on the other side, at peace & waiting for you.

Bug, I have been thinking of you today... We are beyond blessed to have our babies in our lives the way we do... what we get to experience when we wholeheartedly love them is truley a blessing. A love and bond that just comes so naturally... I don't know why their years are short... I don't understand that, but I do know that our connection is forever everlasting. God bless...
