Ned, I watched your tribute to Thunder and sobbed my eyes out.

I went back and watched it through clearer eyes and found myself smiling at this wonderful catgirl named Thunder.

What a magnificent tribute you created for Thunder.
What a wonderful life you two shared.

NedF:  Why did you name the kitten "Thunder"?

It is a very sweet and beautiful tribute to Ms. Thunder Kitty.  The last few slides are very sad, but the first ones are wonderful.  What a funny little puffball girl she was!  That tiny little pointed tail that curved upward was so silly.  And what a gorgeous girl in her prime, big beautiful eyes and that pretty unique coat.  How very special to have been able to share 20+ years together.

What wondeful memories you have of Thunder, Ned.  Your video was very moving.  What a pretty kitty.   Kiss Kiss

I watched the tribute video through tears.  I love the photo of
Thunder with her paws crossed.  What a regal princess.  I'm so
sorry for your loss and that I am just learning of it.  I was away
last weekend.  Rest in peace, dear ThunderCat.  I will always
remember you and the valiant fight you waged to stay with Ned.

Sandi, I thought I was doing pretty good, but these last couple days have been really hard. The first day wasn't too bad. I was sad, but Thunder died a good death and I was glad for that. I felt relieved that she wasn't struggling anymore and that I didn't have to deal with her endless medications. After about 24 hours though, reality set in and I realized just how much of my time was taken up with caring for my dear kitty. Now I have all day and nothing to do. No medicines, no trips to the cat box, no feedings, no more updates to Itchmo. And worst of all no Thunder here to keep me company.

This is what I did for Thunder on June 24(not including all the massages, petting, singing, ect):

6:30am take to catbox for pee
6:35am 4 tsp broth
8:30am take to catbox for pee
9:25am 1 tsp AD
10am pheno
11am take to catbox for pee
11:05 am 4tsp broth
12pm keppra
2pm buprenex
2pm take to catbox for pee
2:05pm 4 tsp broth
4pm take to catbox for pee
4:05pm 4 tsp broth
4:10pm pred
4:15pm 2 tsp AD
6pm take to catbox for pee
6:05pm potassium
7:25pm lactulose
7:30pm 4 tsp broth
7:45pm take to catbox for pee
9:30pm 3tsp AD & some kibble
9:45pm take to catbox for pee
10pm pheno
11pm buprenex
11:45pm lactulose
11:45pm take to catbox for pee
11:50pm 4tsp broth
1230am keppra
2am take to catbox for pee
5:30am take to catbox for pee

I'm having a hard time adjusting especially with trying to clean the house. Thunder's things are all over the place and I can't bring myself to throw them out. Every once in a while I find a lonely piece of kibble and it makes me feel sad. It's also been over 100 degrees the last few days so I'm stuck in the house all day. The new air conditioner has really helped and I just wish Thunder was still here to enjoy it.

I've been thinking about you, too, Ned. Your entire day (and night) was taking care of Thunder's needs. It must be so strange to have all that time on your hands.

Prayers and thoughts coming for you -

Since it is summer and vacation time, have you considered offering to care for pets while their humans are away? That may be a way to earn some small change plus get some time with the animal world too.

I've taken care of pets while their humans are away and found it a rewarding experience.
