With heaviness of spirit and a breaking heart, I bid this grand 'ol girl a "goodnight" - for now... this sad sad day, June 25, 2009... Thunder, I hope to meet you in person one day. I pray Kaffe and Pepe will be among the first to greet you a joyous "meow" and introduce you to all the interesting things to play with in yonder endless fields of green green grass and blue blue skies. We shall all miss you, sweetheart... you have been a well-loved furry face among us in Itchmo. My heart is grieves with yours, NedF. But I thank you for sharing Thunder with all of us here. We shall never forget her.

Ned, Thunder was such a special little kitty, and the love you shared with her was inspirational. Please know that you could not have done more than you did to make her life as happy as possible for as long as possible. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult times. Rest in peace, dear Angel Thunder.

Dear Thunder and her devoted person Ned have given us much joy and many lessons in sharing their lives with us. Their love for each other transcended the difficulties of the bad days. And I learned to do water syringing by watching that great video of them (although I'll probably never have a cat that is as tolerant as Thunder of that!).
I hope I'm at one tenth as dignified and elegant, and demanding, as our Grande Dame Thunder if I make it to her age in cat years. We are all honored to have gotten to know you, Miss Angel Thunder and Ned. May memories of the good times soon move in to lighten the sadness and grief, Ned.

Ned, I remember seeing you post the thread... "I Can't Cope"...and I know the helplessness of those words...But Ned...you did cope and Thunder was so very lucky to have you..There is a special type of sadness when we know the battle being fought can have only one ending...but how we choose to "fight" that battle is what counts..and you chose well....every day is a gift...and to live and love is the best we can do..You and Thunder had 20 years of "gifts" and as I know your heart is hurting...please know that Thunder belonged with you in this last battle as she was in the very best hands there are...I know there is little I can say right now ..except thank you for sharing your very special Thunder with us...it is a honor reading about her...and you... May you see the bright glow of the candles shining... Godspeed angel Thunder...free of illness and pain Love to you, Carol x0x0x0 Beyond The Rainbow
As much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played, I was so very tired and knew my time on earth would fade. I saw a wondrous image then of a place that's trouble-free Where all of us can meet again to spend eternity.
I saw the most beautiful Rainbow, and on the other side Were meadows rich and beautiful -- lush and green and wide! And running through the meadows as far as the eye could see Were animals of every sort as healthy as could be! My own tired, failing body was fresh and healed and new And I wanted to go run with them, but I had something left to do.
I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I'm alright That this place is truly wonderful, then a bright Glow pierced the night. 'Twas the Glow of many Candles shining bright and strong and bold And I knew then that it held your love in its brilliant shades of gold.
For although we may not be together in the way we used to be, We are still connected by a cord no eye can see. So whenever you need to find me, we're never far apart If you look beyond the Rainbow and listen with your heart.

Through your love for Thunder, we came to know her. Through your care for Thunder, we came to know you. Through your shared bond, we came to know something of the Divine, And something of ourselves.
Thunder's spirit is in all of our hearts.

Ned, in my mind's eye, Thunder will always be the innocent-looking little fuzzball you have as your avatar -- just looking up at you with a "Hi, look at how cute I am" face. That's her, right now. No meds, no pain, not tired, running around happy again with all of our blessed little angels.
I hope you're OK, Ned. Most of us here know how hard it is to lose our best friend and we worry about you, too.
God be with both of you.

God speed pretty Thunder. I really am at a loss for words, they just dont seem to portray what I feel or my wishes for you. I wish you could be spared the grief and heartache you will be experiencing but sadly, along with love comes those feelings when we lose someone we care about. I just hope you will be OK, I know things are going to be very quiet and difficult for you in the coming days. Please let us know how you are doing. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Ned, I know how your heart is breaking today. We are thinking of you. Please take care of yourself. Each day it becomes a little easier as you realize that you did all you could for her in life and then helped her pass with dignity.
Like bug, I know she will visit you soon to reassure you that she is OK and to tell you how much she loved you and appreciated all you did for her. Just listen...you will know.

Miss me a little--but not too long And not with your heads bowed low. Remember the love that we once shared, And know my Soul keeps marching on
Come, listen to my soul-song! Hovering o'er the clouds, Lingering o'er the lea— I am running wild, dancing or skimming in eternity! No longer weary, filled with strength untold, I will wait here for thee!
And when you listen close and deep, you will hear my soul whispers to you And in your hearts you all will know
Hello my sacred friends, it is me!
