I said goodbye to Beanie today. She was 17 or 18. I inherited her when my SIL passed in 1999. She was doing quite well, with her ckd. Last couple of days she had vomiting and terrible diarrhea. I took her to our university veterinary center last night. Her blood work was "way off", they said. She was transferred from Emergency to Internal Medicine. Further tests revealed cancer in her intestines, lungs, and blood; a very aggressive cancer. (Her kidney values were quite good - a tribute to her homecooking from Cato, I think). Before I took her in last night, we had great lap time - brushing (which she loved), and lots of purrs. I'm grateful that she didn't really have symptoms that I noticed, until the end. I miss you Bean. Godspeed, sweet little girl.  |

 Spartycats, I am very sorry to hear that you had to say good-bye to your beautiful Beanie. It is so sad that she was the victim of such a nasty cancer. Rest in peace, dear Beanie.

What a beautiful picture of a beautiful little catgirl. I'm so sorry that her time here has come to an end. May she enjoy health and happiness at the Rainbow Bridge.

Spartycats,I am so sorry for your loss of Beanie. I am glad, though, that she had a long happy life with you and you had a chance to say goodbye with laptime and purrs. Rest in peace at the Bridge little Angel.

I am so sorry to hear you had to let Beanie go..but she is now free of cancer and pain and all that goes with that horrible monster...I bet she is getting a big welcome from some very special angels right now...  |
