Raw food for pets?
Despite warnings by veterinarians, growing numbers of dog and cat owners are serving uncooked, homemade fare

Yes.  And despite all the dire "warnings" about salmonella, e. coli, etc., Cato is sure looking good as a raw fed kitty (but he does get cooked and commercial too).

I thoroughly enjoyed this article:

http://www.blakkatz.com/myths.pdf

One of these days, I am going to get a mouse, "dress" the carcass and run it through a blender or grind the parts.  Then I will send the mix to a nutritional lab to analyse the nutrients and come up wth a nutrient profile.   That will be Cato's meal nutient profile.   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  Serious.

I tried to order food from Felines Pride - they charged me $115, but never sent me anything, won't respond to my emails, don't have a publicly listed tel. number, and have not refunded my money. The Raw Food diet is awesome for your cat - this company is unethical and will rip you off. You're better off grinding your own food and adding Feline Instinct supplement to it to make it nutritionally complete.

Oh no!  Am so sorry this happened to you! I've never used Felines Pride - only used commercially prepared raw food for cats in 2007 during their transition period.  I like to make my own cat food - raw or cooked.

Wow, that's so awful! Hope you report them to the BBB! We need quality raw food makers, but wow, we can't let them get away with this kind of horrendous behavior.

And a hundred and fifteen dollars - OUCH!

I found a sister company in the Bay area. (707)738-0048. Got an answering machine for a Dr. Lynn Licus (?) saying she's a distributor for Feline's Pride. Maybe you can get a number from her?

I haven't ordered in quite some time, but have never had a problem with them.  Just my experience.
