Haven't seen anything about acid reflux.  Doesn't mean that isn't a symptom though.  The main problem with certain artificial sweeteners (Sorbitol/glucitol for example) is they may cause diarrhea in individuals with GI diseases and possibly trigger symptoms of Crohn's disease, IBS, for example.

splenda is sucralose, nutrasweet is aspartame.

confusing isn't it?  so far, tmk, splenda has not been linked to any health side affects, but I"m sure it's coming.  Taste wise, I just don't like the stuff.

Splenda can act as a laxative in humans.
Splenda is artificial just like aspartame.

Allergic reactions to sucralose have not been documented, but individuals sensitive to maltodextrin should consult a physician about using any sweeteners containing this bulking agent.

Bulking agent?

Sad, indeed,

Our vet recommends this book now.  I still like the Strombeck version and appreciate the fact he has put his info on a website for people's convenience.
