The "feline entrees" posted for Poco's presidential dinner are really kitty treats, none of which are "complete and balanced" meals.  They are meant only as occassional treats for your kitty to enjoy.

Fishercat’s Basket


1/2 x 6.5oz can   Chicken of the Sea Minced Clams, with the juice
1 x 3.75oz can      Seasons No Salt Added Norway Sardines in Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 x 3.53 oz pouch   Chicken of the Sea Premium Crab, drained
2/3 Cup      Wheat germ
1/3 Cup      All purpose flour
1 Tbsp         Butter, melted

Method:

1.  Preheat oven  350  deg F.

2.  Mix the clams (with the juice), the sardines (with the oil) and the crab (without the
     juice) in a blender until smooth.   

3.  Combine flour and wheat germ in a medium size mixing bowl. 

3.  Pour the blended seafood mixture into the wheat germ and flour mixture.  Add the melted butter.  Mix well  until ingredients are evenly distributed.

4.  Form the mixture into small cat bite-size balls.  Arrange pieces on a lightly grease cookie sheet and flatten them with a fork.

5.  Bake at 350 deg F until browned.


Poulet-Fromage


500 grams       Cooked Chicken
2 Tbsp         Gated cheese      
1 Tbsp         All purpose flour
1          Beaten egg
½ Cup         Plain breadcrumbs
¼-1/3 Cup      Parmesan cheese
1/3 Cup       Water (or Enough water for processing)

1.  Preheat oven  350 deg F.

2.  Shred the chicken to a very fine consistency in a blender or food processor.  Use just enough water for processing, taking care not to make the mixture too watery.
3.  Combine and mix chicken, grated cheese, egg and flour.
4.  Using hands and fingers, form the mixture into small balls the size of marbles or walnuts.
5.  Combine breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese in a shallow dish or plate and roll the chicken balls in it until each ball is evenly coated.
6.  Place balls in a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake in 350 deg F oven for 15 mins or until done.


Chourico Delicioso
   

500 grams   Ground Pork, very finely round (you can use turkey, beef, chicken)
½ Tbsp   Finely chopped parsley
1 pinch      Iodized salt
1 Egg White
½ C      Plain breadcrumbs

1.  Preheat oven to 350 deg F.
2.  Mix all ingredients together in a medium bowl
3.  Using your hands, form several sausage rolls around ½ to 1 inch in diameter by rolling sausage mixture back and forth against a flat surface.   
4.  Place uncooked sausages in a covered container and refrigerate overnight to help “set” it.
5.  When ready to be cooked, arrange the sausages on a greased cookie sheet or grilling plate and bake in 350 deg F oven for 20 mins or until brown.
6.   Allow sausages to cool before slicing into 1 inch kitty-bite pieces.  Freeze or refrigerate what will not be immediately eaten.

With all the recalls, I invested in a Nesco dehydrator.

I get things such as:
boneless lamb
organic salmon filets (on Saturday at the market they mark the price down at 3 pm)
organic chicken hearts
organic chicken livers

Just throw these onto the dehydrator for 7-8 hours (the salmon will take less time). Store in the fridge, though, keeps about a week.
