I thought this might cheer some of you up. I spend a gawdawful number of days witnessing a situation of animal neglect/abuse (2 cats, 1 dog, 2 goats) in the grand state of MISSOURI. As I was dealing with a borderline sociopath disguised as an alternative health care provider... there came a time I had access to the kitchen, specifically where I said, "Leave the premises, now, I shall feed them, just leave or else ..." (long story as to why I just didn't jump in my car, or instantly rent a car with the animals - so remote a place, I rode in with him).

So, I looked in the psycho's  refrigerator:

Top of the line organic goose pate, $20 a pound, blam, it ALL went into the dog food bowl. Dog LOVED it.

One entire organic chicken. I cut it up, and it went into a huge pot with some top of the line kelp and water. I boiled for two hours. I stripped all the meat, put the warm soup into their bowls. they slurped it down. I shredded the meat, and fed them the entire chicken, they ate every last morsel.

It's the only time any animal has eaten food I cooked to the last morsel.

Three pound sized packaged salmon imported from Alaska. I defrosted, and placed it out as hors d'ouvres.... in his mothers finest antique china. She would have approved. They were her animals.

I stripped his refrigerator of animal proteins. To make sure, I opened the refrigerator, and let them look inside for anything I might have missed.

Then  I took his best clothes and wiped their weepy infected eyes. I have my human limits too. This time was one of them.

I made him buy tons of cat and dog food, and had him open two cans each animal, and put it down, (he wanted one can among all three) - they each ate two cans a piece. And were still hungry.

There's more to this story but there is an investigation underway now.

Good for you, anna.  Sounds like you made some lifelong fur friends.  They'll
love you forever.

I'm glad you were successful in getting an investigation started.  We were all
following your posts from Missouri and pulling for you.  I hope those poor pets
find new homes with loving families.

Keep us posted.

Glad they had such a feast ~ certainly more than they had been fed. Glad, too, that an investigation is underway and that these precious animals MAY have been removed from the home from hell and are now being treated for their many medical issues. I hope that's the case, at least. Please keep us posted as you are able. As I've said before, these precious animals have been on my mind since you first told us about them.

I am so glad to hear about the investigation. These poor guys need a happy ending. Way to go, Anna.

Your food revenge story made me a little nervous for your safety, but still I can't help smiling at the image. Some small measure of justice.

Anna finally someone did right by these lil innocent children. God must have known to send you as their angel to help them.

May your troubles be less,
Your blessings be more,
And nothing but happiness
Come through your door
