Any experiences or thoughts to share on feeding soy foods (such as tofu) to dogs?

I've read in a number of places that soy is thought to increase the chances of deep chested dogs (setters & such) getting bloat.  But I've also seen it used in some of the dog food recipes in the most popular pet feeding books.

I've chosen not to use it because I had a dog go through an episode of bloat years ago & don't want to ever have that happen again.
