I can't believe what I just read at another forum:
http://thecatsite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=120438

They had a sticky about recalled food. The link to the list gave me a 404 error so I made a post informing them that the link no longer worked.

The above link goes to the response written by a poster who is apparently the forums local 'food expert guru' who says: (bolding mine)
Quote
"Which was march to april of 2007 for most and into june 2007 for the later one s... WE DO NOT need to revive it as it is NO longer an issue.."

Please read the entire post!

edited to add:
That forum has a 'rule' against posting links to (promoting) other forums.

If I hadn't read it with my own eyes----first --I do not understand why the posted response to yours is bolded in certain places----     second -- I can't believe this is a cat lover's site-- and third -Thank God for Itchmo-----

We need a shaking head in disbelief emoticon.   Lips sealed

Someone has to watch over all the poor kitties whose parents don't have knowledge.

At least they have a forum for IMO posts.

Which everybody should be adding to their posts here like Ben said to do way back when, "in my opinion", etc., etc.

Legalities.

Thanks, Mary, for carrying your convictions over to other areas.  Takes guts and knowledge
that the glossy ads you read, imho, represent no real change in the diseases caused by
chemically concocted congealed crap pet food. 3cats

From thecatsite: "companies have changed or put into place safety s so it cant happen again"

How wrong they are.

I think they DELETED the thread! They kept saying that it was 'off topic.'

How can it be off-topic?

Wasn't it a thread about UTI in cats?

------------------------

Looks like we have a "rep"utation over there.  Read down aways, too.

yeah, and what to feed. Nutro came up as a good UTI food. Um, not if it's toxic and causes ARF!   Shocked

"paranoid, fear mongers"  Huh  OY!

The topic was "Food recommendation"  for a kitty that had crystals and someone recommended Nutro. Don't you think they would want to know that Nutro had ingredients not suited for the kitty - no, our posts were NOT off topic. Nutro contains GMO corn. Therefore, just pointing out that fact is not 'hijacking the thread' IMO.

Yeah, I did miss your post. I was trying to post a reply when it disappeared.

It's a good thing that I haven't answered their 2 pm's to me yet. I'm waiting until I can gather some info together and make my own web page and just send that to answer the pm's. Wouldn't want to get banned for posting a link here to itchmo, now would I?
