I don't know about you, but there some people I'd like to thank (and keep thanking) for fighting so hard to allow our pet's voices to be heard.
If you feel like adding on, please join in.  I'm sure there are more to add to this list.

DR. VICTORIA HAMPSHIRE
(still looking for current contact info since leaving FDA)

If anyone finds Dr. Hampshire's current info, let me know and I'll edit the above.

Of course it goes without saying there should also be a HUGE shout out to Ben (Itchmo), SusanUnPC (No Quarter), Kim (Pet Food Tracker), Therese (The Pet Food List) and Gina & Christie (Pet Connection). These folks have put in countless hours of serious java time to keep us up to date and informed.  I have no clue how they keep going with so much sleep deprivation and not become psychotic.

To all of you (including roving blogger reporters), thank you.  My leaps know no bounds.

Dr. Victoria Hampshire

"Watchdog risked career over pet-drug warning:
Speaking up about risky medicine sparked Senate inquiry, got vet demoted"

I think Dr. Hampshire's story needs a link because we need whistleblowers like her to stand up and do the jobs they were hired to do: look out for the well-being of pets, going against big drug maker, Wyeth.  Hats off to her!  She ended up winning "Vet of the Year" at the U.S. Public Health Conference.

...She [Dr. Hampshire] had “raised the bar in every category of professional and personal integrity, passion and commitment.”

Buy local.  Buy organic.
If you ate today, thank a farmer, hopefully a small, local farmer.

Remember the thousands & thousands of pets that died to give US a wake-up call about the safety of ALL food.

Great idea about the link, purringfur.
I forget sometimes everyone doesn't know who these people are and what they have done on behalf of our pets.

Thank you.
