Sadly, some of the Brands are refusing to give out who/where their ingredients come from. Or they say one thing, but it turns out to be false.

It's their product that they are selling and they want us to use, so . . . the least they could do is put a statement on their product descriptions that states country of origin for ALL ingredients and any other quality assurances like testing of ingredients for substances and quality. NV Rabbit comes from China! As do many supplements, with our dear friends ChemNutra (the China Specialists!) being the largest supplier of Taurine according to their trade ads. I see no reason they can't have a a statement of proof of origin/quality that they should be held to. They should also have a place where the consumer can sign up for product alerts so if there is an ingredient change, the consumer can be automatically alerted. After all, the swear by their product right?

So while folks are asking for their ingredient origins, we should ask them to put this type of product description/information on their sites. If they agree, ask them when we can expect to see it (shouldn't be hard since they *know* what's in the product . . .) Any company/brand unwilling to fully disclose the origins of their ingredients should be listed here so we can send them a nice little note as to why we will not buy their product and so we can spread their name.

And this shouldn't be limited to pet food, it can branch out to supplements/meats and anything else that could kill our pets . . .

This Company doesn't have country of origin listed (I'll be calling them about that), but they do have a lot of info on their ingredients/testing/etc that is right there to see:

and they also have some info on raw ingredients sourcing
