JustMe:

Thanks for that.....looks interesting.  I have a feed store not too far from me.  I'll have to check & see if they're going to carry that.  I don't remember seeing when it'll be available but I'll try to remember to check on it. :)

That's about what i would expect from someone like Cargill. by products and corn!  ;D

spray-dried blood meal. hmm, when i was reading my gardening book, it said to be careful with blood meals/products. wonder how careful they are source wise . . . ?

All of you obviously did more checking than I did......I thought the article said they were using human grade ingredients.  Geez.  Sure hope poultry by-product meal isn't in one of my favorite foods.......ewwww.

Guess I won't bother to check that one out...... :P

I know the feeling, JanC... everytime we see a new petfood come out, we kinda get excited hoping that THIS petfood will be better and more nutritious than the others in the market.... it's such a let down when we see the same old second rate ingredients or worse.  :(

Sorry, but I couldn't help myself.

Believe I'll by-pass the by-products.

Nice bag.

I just read this thread - while I was eating supper - Now I have to clean off the spew from my keyboard and monitor! LOL :D

I'll bet the company paid more to develop the bag design than they paid to have the food created!

When will they get the picture, that pet parents would be very very happy to buy food in a PLAIN bag with listing ingredients, country of origin etc.

Why do they think that the BAG is so darn important??

5cat needs to post a caution before her posts.
Much like MarySmith, I too must do some keyboard and monitor cleaning, and walls and floors............

Coffee really travels

"Nice Bag".................the best ;D

Maybe just recycle the food & feed the bag to the pets

petslave your a riot, LOL! Better idea let the people that made this stuff eat it and if nothing bad happens to them at least they won't be hungry with a side dish of bag too!

That should be a requirement for all pet food companies & manufacturers - if you're not willing to eat the food, better go back & reformulate it until you are.  Wouldn't that be nice for our pets.

OMG! I just read the ingredient list for the Cat & Kitten food and the Adult Maintenance dog food! They call this stuff a "premium" food? What a joke!

I used their contact us link to send them an email stating that as long as their foods were filled with non-nutritious grain fillers like corn, wheat, wheat flour, brewer's rice, etc, and that I didn't consider poultry by-product meal to actually be meat, that I would not by buying any of their foods for my 4 cats and 1 dog. I would continue to feed NV, Merrick's, and Wellness.
