They're beautiful, Arlo.  Bless you for taking care of them and bless that highway worker for saving them.  They have 2 angels.

I'll pray for the little ones.

My Elvis as a kitten was found wandering in the road by a man working on a local road.

Arlo as papa cat they will get used to your smell and voice and look upon you as their non-harry dad who is taking care of them. AWWW your so great to take them under your wing (so to speak) and shield them til they're ready to face the real world.

So far, so good on the kittens.  I'll feel better when they gain a little more weight.  Ellie is helping me now with their care.  I had to go out this morning, and packed them up to go with me.  I could hear Ellie crying inside so she ended up going, too.  She never had kittens, but she seems to believe she's their mother.  I think that gives them a much better chance at survival.

Let me tell you, I got some weird looks when I started tube feeding newborn kittens in the middle of a Chemistry Dept. meeting.  Huh

Luckily, being eccentric is accepted in math and science teachers.  Grin

These babies are sooooo precious. You are doing such a wonderful job with them! They are lucky to have such a good papa. I think that meetings would be a lot more interesting if we all took animals to them!

Thanks for the photo and for keeping us updated. I know I have thought of you often and been amazed at the compassionate work you do. (Who'd have thought it of a . . . scientist?)   Grin

Blessings to you and your brood ~ and a special scritch to Ellie for adopting the babies. They need a furry parent, too. And special thanks to the highway workers who were kind enough to take them when their mama was killed.

Blessings
