A highway worker brought in 3 kittens last week whose mother had been killed.  They weighed 67, 72, and 73 grams each so they were just a few days old.  I have them now and tube fed them every two hours for a few days because they were too weak to eat.  Now I'm bottle feeding them and their weight has more than doubled.

At the shelter we have two mom cats sharing 5 litters.  These guys are too little and would have lost the battle for mother's milk. Could I get some positive waves in this direction for these little guys to make it?

Oh, they are so sweet and purr-fect!  Sending all the positive energy I can muster for the babies, and for you too with all the work you are doing.  Being a substitute mom for newborn kittens is a big job!  Bless you for doing this, and for all the other things you do.

Upon looking closer, I note that one is a tux... Grin

Arlo, Have you got any idea how old they are? The SPCA around here give Me their orphan kittens to take care of, because no one else will.
They don't look old enough for teeth, do they have any yet?
Bottle feeding for now is about the only thing you can do. Unless you can find a Mama with no kittens to feed?
Let Me know how old you think they are, and i'll try to help with some ideas.
You're doing a wonderful job. bless your heart.

The picture is a few days old.  Their eyes are just starting to open now.  They'd be maybe 9, 10 days old now. I've had them for a week. I'm bottle feeding them with KMR, and Ellie is starting to help with hygiene now.  I have them in a box on the bed with me at night.  The past couple of nights Ellie has slept with them. If I'm going to be gone more than a couple of hours, I take them with me.  The way I see it, I can feed kittens in my office if I want.

Thanks for all the good wishes!
