One of the dogs I walk for my pet sitting service is quite ill.  He has been diagnosed with what they believe to be a malignant tumor in his spleen.  If the cancer has not spread to his liver (or anywhere else) they can remove the spleen and he can live just fine without it.  He is going for more extensive x-rays today and probably an ultrasound early next week to determine if the tumor has metastasized.  Milo is a very sweet, gentle and smart silver/gray standard poodle and I'm very attached to him as I walk him almost every day.  If anyone has time to keep Milo in their thoughts and send him positive energy over the weekend that would be wonderful and very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your efforts and I will update as I get new information.

Thanks everyone!!!  I have an update.  I think all our good thoughts and prayers are helping.  The first news is encouraging.  Milo had a bunch of chest x-rays today and his lungs are clear.  Monday he will be going for an ultrasound and that will tell us if his liver, pancreas and the rest of the abdomen is clear.  If it is, he would be a candidate for surgery to remove the spleen.  Please keep those good vibes coming and I can't tell you how much I appreciate the effort!

Prayers and warm thoughts for Milo that the tests will show removal as the option and on to the best of health.
