In the never ending saga, after many good weeks, CJ has had another tough few days. She has been "punky" the past few days but yesterday she started vomiting again, hiding and REFUSING TO EAT! That's a big sign that things are not well. Didn't get much sleep last night, but this morning she's still hiding, and has eaten a tiny bit. Interestingly enough, she passed over the Taste of the Wild for the California Natural. (Just hoping that the TOTW grain free hasn't pushed her kidney over the edge.) I don't know what's going on, although she seems to be drinking a bit more water, but not hanging over the water bowl. With so many health issues, it could be liver or kidney disease progressing.

I'm trying to stay calm and nurse her through until her scheduled appointment with MSU on Thursday. If that's not possible, then off to ER we will go.

We surely could use any extra prayers and healing thoughts. CJ is a fighter, for sure, but I am realistic to know that one of these days her body is not going to be able to "bounce back". And the hardest thing for me is to know when to keep going and when to stop and let her go.

Thanks to all - you've been my support so many times and I'm asking again.

Poor CJ.  It's so awful when these things happen over the weekend when the regular vet is closed.  I'm sure you are very worried, but it sounds like you are doing everything you can.  It's good that she ate a little this morning.

A bunch of healing thoughts coming your way this weekend.

Hang in there CJ and catmom5.

It is hard to know how much to try for them, especially with a cat like CJ that just keeps rebounding out of every downturn.  I'm sending hopes, prayers and a candle that this is just another one of her brief setbacks and she picks up in the next few days.  At least she has great vets, and even more important, a great catmom on her side!

Plenty of prayers, positive thoughts, and everything else coming to you and CJ from me, too!  Hoping that this is just a "blip" and she'll stabilize again soon.  Poor CJ.

catmom,
Prayers for CJ, and for you, too.  Hope that she perks up and this is just a little bump in the road.  Hoping for many more happy days ahead for all of you.   Kiss

Positive thoughts for you and CJ - hopefully this is just a small bump she can bounce back from easily.
