I wanted to update all of you on how my little girl is doing.  I spoke with the vet this morning.  Although GG is improving she is far from out of the woods.  Her enzyme levels have improved slightly, so things are going in the right direction.  They want to keep her on fluid therapy for a few more days.  My vet has at least been reading up on metacam and is starting to admit that it is likely what caused the renal failure.

Thanks for all of your positive thoughts and prayers.

Oh that's great to hear jiver, it sounds like GG's hanging in there!  I hope she continues to improve & can come home soon.  It's great that your vet is open to reading up on the metacam problems.  That's amazing that they didn't just shut out your offer of information--you must have presented what you know in the right way without any accusations & challanges.  I think you can feel really good about possibly preventing future problems for other beloved pets treated at that clinic.  We'll just keep hoping & praying GG can get back to a relatively normal life soon!
