Hello everyone.  I live in South Georgia and can take care of the local stores around here.  Please let me know if there are other things that I can do to help as well.

These are stores in the Valdosta, Georgia area that I visited today.

Status report on several of the stores in my area.  I went on a hunt today armed with the latest recall list.  I checked every product that one of the Walmart carries and was actually pleased to see that there were no recalled items on their shelves.  Of course, I had already had a run in with the manager at this particular store right after the recall was issued.  There are signs posted also which was my suggestion to them immediately after the recall.  The Nestle representative was in there today when I was there and I had a lengthy discussion with her about their products.  She was in the area checking the inventory at the stores around here also.  I was pleased to see this.

Our local Target doesn't have any of the recalled products on their shelves either.  I had checked with them also when the recall was initially announced and had seen then that they had pulled the products.

Our local Publix has none of the recalled products on their shelves.  They also have a sign posted directing consumers to either contact the customer service number or their website for more information on the recall.

I also asked the managers of those stores if they were receiving the recall notices in a timely manner and all said yes.  The department manager at Walmart and I had come to an understanding right after the first recall hit and he told me today that he is watching things like a hawk which I truly believe that he is.

Tomorrow I am visiting Pet Smart, the local grocery store, Winn-Dixie, and the other Walmart in town.

I am pleased to announce that when I made my visit into PetSmart, there were no recalled products on their shelves.  Additionally, they had very informative signs posted in the areas where the products had been recalled.  I asked to speak to the manager but only got the assistant manager but I was able to ask her if they were getting the recall notices in a timely manner and she said yes.  At any rate, I was pleased with what I saw.

A local supermarket in my area known as Harvey's didn't have any products that have been recalled but they really had a fairly small supply of pet food in general.  I wasn't able to speak with the manager or asst. manager.
