I'm posting this because some of our newer members, or those who do not visit often, may not be aware of it.

If you put the News (Recall Related) board on Notify, every time someone starts a new topic there (that is, a new recall is issued), you will get an email sent to you by the forum.  The email will contain a link to click on, which will take you directly to the new recall post.

To put a board on Notify, click on its title on the front page.  This will take you to the list of topics on the board.  Just above the list, in the right-hand corner, you will see a series of small blue tabs.  Click on the tab that says Notify, then say OK if another box comes up.

Just make sure that your email will not send mail from the forum into your spam box.

You can put individual threads on Notify, too.

I didn't know it either  Embarrassed  Shocked

That's good to know.  I had the food recall notification on with the original itchmo blog, which was very valuble.  Glad to know I can set this up with something similar.

Bumping this up since we have a lot of new members lately, who may be interested in getting pet food recall notifications.

catbird I have been getting several recall notices but when I click on the link it says error.  I got two today and neither link worked.  Both were for Pro Pet vitamin.

Thanks

It could be that several threads were posted on the same topic and merged into one, which would cause the link for one or more of the threads to be inoperable.  I know for a fact that this happened with the Pro Pet Vitamin recall thread; several people started threads on the same thing.  If you get an inoperable link, just sign in at the forum and check the Recall board for new posts.

(Another reason for those posting recall info to make sure to check that it's not already posted before starting a new thread.  I warn you, menusux is fast at getting these up.  Grin)
