JustMe so glad Twit made it thru ok. Great there were no extractions and you only are keeping a watch on one tooth.

So glad to hear that all went so well!

I hope Twit gets some good rest and that her appetite will kick in soon.

If she needs any extra wet, there's plenty over at my place.   Angry

Heheh, just kidding.  Sort of.   Cheesy

Glad you're home safe and sound!

Well, she ate her small portion of food late last night.  She was alert, so we let her out of the playpen so she could sleep on our bed, as usual.  We all got a good night's rest.  This morning, she is back to her bright-eyed and long-tailed self.  Ate very well and got her antibiotic.  She is by far the easiest cat we ever had to pill.  Whew.  She wasn't too thrilled when I took the bandage off from her IV site, but that was no biggie.  She had EVO 95% chicken/turkey this morning (no veggies,no fruit).  This is the first time they had it, and she liked it.

Thanks, August, for the food offer.   Tongue  I hope your kitties will get used to their new foods soon.

I'm really happy to hear that Twit is getting back to normal, alert, eating, sleeping, and bright-eyed.  Nice to have one that is easy to pill!

Oh very good news!  yay!   JM, is the tooth issue because of gingivitis?  Sophers has juvie gingivitis and we have tried al few products.  She has to have chlorohexidine once a week and we think it gives her diarrhea but Sophers gets diahrrea very easily it seems.  We tried the Petzlife and did seem to get a pretty good result in a short time but seems it might have given her diarrhea too.  What we are doing for now is once daily cleaning with saline water.  It has helped get the inflammation and redness down but has not totally gotten rid of it and she still has that sour smell to her breath.  If we let the cleaning go too many days that also results in diahrrea from the bacteria build-up.  We might give the Petzlife another try and if not, might order some of the Biotene gel......for Sophers they are thinking its compromised immune system and that as she gets older she might be able to conquer this on her own....   Undecided

Yes, she's doing great.

I ordered some of the Biotene (as suggested by some of our members) to try instead of the CET solution.  If we're able to apply it, I'll let you know the results.

Sandi,

Yes, doctor said it is gingivitis.  Oh, almost forgot.  Yesterday, her heart murmur was barely audible.  So, we're very happy about that.

How do you clean with the saline water?  Is it a rinse swished in, toothbrush, swab?

We put 1/4 tsp of sea salt in 1/2 cup water, let it dissolve and then use gauze.  First I do a dry clean with just plain gauze over all the outside teeth, gums then I dip the gauze in the salt water and rub the outside of the gums and teeth and then I use a Q-tip to do the insides.  The Q-tip is the result of getting fingers smunched in Sophers moving jaw too many times.  Ouch!
