It's been a heck of a winter, so far. Between weather, power outages and phone/internet outages I feel like I've been disconnected from much of my world.
It's also been hard because I haven't seen Tommy in several weeks. For a while I thought it was the weather, but now that it's warmer (mid-30s) I would have thought he'd be back. Even sadder, I haven't seen Cody since the ice storm started before Christmas. The neighbors told me they took her in, but I'm having a hard time believing that they continue to keep her inside with warmer weather and considering she pees in the house. So, my gut fear is that they put her down.
If you could keep these two precious souls in your prayers, I'd be very grateful. Still hoping, but not terribly optimistic.

Tommy has pulled this disappearing act before, so I have hope that he's just doing whatever it is he does when he goes invisible.

With Cody...you never know.  Maybe she stopped peeing in the house?  Hoping that she's happy and well.

Keeping Tommy and Cody and all of the outside feral's in my prayers . I know with Nancy's 5 , some have been gone a while and returned . Only 1 is still gone and hopefully someone took her in as she was the friendliest and least fearful ! My Bil has had them come and go , especially with bad weather . He says they tend to have their litters closer to his house in bad weather . Yes he does TNR , but people keep dumping more cats in his yard and he can't keep up with them .

Well, I got really excited because I thought I saw Tommy when someone triggered the outdoor motion light. That same someone came back about dusk last night and it's not Tommy, but I believe it was Lucy, the little girl I did TNR on (rather she did the R part herself when she pushed the screen out and took off). I put food out and it was eaten. Someone also triggered the light early this morning so I'm hoping she is taking advantage of the heated kitty tube at night, since Cody is nowhere to be found. I plan to put new straw in the tube today and then I'll be able to tell if someone else is in there at night.

No sign of Tommy or Cody, though. This has been a long time for both of them to stay away . . .  Cry Cry Cry

What a weekend! Cody came strolling over for dinner, just like nothing had happened at all. I'm wondering now if they locked her in their garage during the cold and ice. She seems to be fine and looks good. AND I just saw Tommy. He was back for wet food and came around back for some water (I keep heated water for anyone who needs a drink) and he looks really good, too. Now if I can see Lucy come back again, things would be perfect.

So - headcount back to 7 for sure, and maybe 8.

happy and relieved,

Oh, that is such good news! Cats are amazing (and so are you, for caring for them.)

I suspect Lucy was here, too, but closer to 11:30 pm. I had a house built for Cody, which will be delivered today so will be reconfiguring what I'm using for 2 ferals. Hopefully, I can continue to provide shelter and food for all of them.
