On December 29 there was a thread posted on TheCatSite titled "Tanya's kidney site temporarily down - alternate here".......

The only content there is what seems to be a message from Helen that she had posted to her group:

Quote
sorry site down, expired last night, no reminders from host which was good but recently taken over by another company and now rubbish. lots of problems with them recently.

...

am trying to get site back up today. in meantime www.felineckd.com not as up to date but should work for basics.

happy new year to all

http://www.thecatsite.com/t/290143/fyi-tanyas-kidney-site-temporarily-down-alternate-here

In any case, the "alternate" doesn't work for me....I can't get beyond that homepage.

Helen moved her group from Yahoo some time ago. I didn't sign up when that happened, so don't have access to updates on this. I'll contact the TheCatSite poster and see what I can find out.

(now, something seems to be going on here....I can't preview this post - I'm getting a "Fetching preview..." message)

Anycat,
Thanks for the update on Tanya's site. Hopefully she  will get the site back up soon.

As far as techie problems here at Itchmo, yes, we have been having lots of crashes. If the only problem you have found is that the preview is not working right, that's good, considering the whole data base has crashed and been down for hours.

The server techies have been great in spending hours to get us back up. Thanks 'server techies'!

I hope that Helen gets the site up and running again!  It is such a valuable resource.  I refer all members at the Yahoo Hyper-t Group to that site for their CKD kitties.   Undecided   Sad

Well, it seems that Helen hasn't posted any further update to her BigTent group....

My only advice to anyone needing info/support in the absence of the website is "Join the group" and post your issue/question there. Again, that link is: https://www.bigtent.com/groups/tckd/register

As I mentioned, Helen moved her group from Yahoo hosting "service" in 2013 and set it up on "BigTent"....those folks ask for some personal information when people apply to join groups....in case you're "put off" by that, Helen suggests that you can be "creative":

All I need is your first name, country, your CKD cat's name and age (approx age is fine), and why you want to join us. Make up the rest if you wish.

A member of the Yahoo Hyper-t Group who is also a member of Helen's CKD group posted that Helen is dealing with a broken shoulder, so it could be a slow process for her to get Tanya's site up again.  However, this person said that the whole site can be accessed at this link:

Another message from Helen's group on the Yahoo Hyper-t Group said that Helen is working on getting her CKD site up and running again.  I guess some patience is in order, but, for now, some info could be found in the archives.
