Trudy I am so sorry that Jessie is having all these problems. I hope the endoscopy will find that he has a treatable condition. I know it will be a long weekend for you. Sending you many hopes and prayers for Jessie, yourself, and your family.

You can do it because you love him. If it's his time to leave you, there will be plenty of time later for grieving. I'm glad you will have some special time with him this weekend.

Trudy,
I am so sorry that Jesse James has to have this test. But, once it is done, it will hopefully give you some definitive answer that leads to doing the proper treatment.  You and he will be in my prayers. {{hugs}}

It just seems to get worse. I have to force feed him now. so when I went to try to feed him this morning, he threw up more blood.
He just wants to sleep. he doesn't really want to sit on me. just wants to be left alone.
I feel like i am hurting him, when I make him eat. he gags and then throws up. He needs food. I don't want him to be upset or in any distress. I just don't know what to do.
I don't want him to be in any pain at all. thats not fair to him.
this is just killing me.

Maybe he's not going to be able to get better, Trudy. I'm sorry to say this, but sometimes, no matter how hard we try, they are just too sick. Please consider his quality of life and whether there's a good chance it will get better or not. I know how hard this is - I've been there more than once - but you can do what you have to do because you love him. One of the questions from the crf site that comes to my mind when CJ is having a particularly bad day is - am I prolonging her life or prolonging her death?

Sending hugs and all the support I can for you as you make some tough decisions.

When my Purry was extremely ill, he still lapped a little of that liquid Catsure on his own, not sure if Jessie would even want it, or if he's able to take liquids right now. Just a thought.

Continuing prayers and good thoughts for Jessie and you and your family.

We went through this with Remy also. At the end I just syringed some broth to keep him hydrated and give minimum nutrients until we could get to the regular vet on Monday. I didn't want his last minutes to be upset by an unfamiliar evet.
 Sometimes when they are this sick, they are just tired of fighting. And the refusing to eat and not wanting to be touched is their way of telling us they are ready. I know you aren't ready Trudy, and this is a terrible time of year to have it happen. But you may want to rethink putting him through another test on Monday. Jesse seems to be saying he doesn't want to keep trying. I know you will do whatever is best for him, I'm crying as I type this. Sending you prayers hugs and  Kiss.

Trudy, I wish I had some ideas that would help you through this time, but I don't. All I can do is say that I'm sending hugs to both of you. I know you are hurting terribly because it is never easy to watch a furry friend being so sick. I just wanted to let you to know that I'm thinking about you.

Trudy, I know, heartbreakingly and all too recently, some of the feelings you are going through. Cry  Cry  Cry   I know how much it hurts to see your beloved Jessie going through this.

I was told this week I had done the most loving thing we can do, to let go if it's time, and let the pain be over for the one we love.  This is pure and selfless love, because it is so much the opposite of what we want for ourselves.

Look in his eyes, and see if he's telling you it's time.  Yes, it will hurt, but we all will be here to hold you up if and when you make the decision.  Jessie knows your love, and has known it for all the years of his life.

Many more {{{hugs}}}

Keeping both of you in my prayers. Everyone has already said what I would have, so I'll just pray for you.
