Those very cat and dog dishes are sold in a big independent supply store where I shop.  Thankfully, I did not have any, but I emailed the video link to all my pet-owning friends in town.  Almost every dish in that store was made by the same "Ethical Products" in China.  When I was shopping there for additional pet dishes, I checked the labels on every one, and let a store employee know how displeased I was that all the bowls came from China.  Of course, I did not buy any, but that is how I ended up with the USA-made Bauer bowls from another store.

Peg--with American-made "people food" and "people dishes", you can still have animals.  I am sure I could not imagine my life without them!

I use stainless steel bowls for the cats.  I hope those are OK.

I looked everywhere for nice, lead-free, not MIC dinnerware.  The Only option I found was Corelle.  We love it.  It works for us and the kitties.

I found some lovely little glass cups, made in France, that are just the right size for a kitty meal. They pop into the dishwasher and were fairly cheap ($2.00/cup). They remind me of the little ingredient bowls they use on the cooking shows. Found them at Linens and Things or Bed, Bath and Beyond.

Blessings

Fiestaware is all US & lead free, but a little pricey.
