Made in China is not the only problem we have.  There are made in Thailand dog chews which are now turning up on FDA OASIS Refusals and there are manufacturers in Thailand who are listed on the Salmonella Detention list.  The first link is to a Thai government page listing all manufacturers who are permitted to export product to the European Community; pages 1 & 2 list the approved rawhide chew maker, while pages 3 & 4 list the approved pet food makers.  We'll compare the rawhide chew exporters to OASIS Refusals for November 2007 and the Salmonella Detention List.

Out of the 16 establishments approved to export chew to Europe, we find three on the salmonella detention list for FDA and also one who's on the salmonella list to have had 3 of their shipments refused by OASIS for November 2007.

Klondike do not remember any scandal with Pedigree food? Probably did a 3 second blurb on the news and that was it which might be why I missed it. But was going thru the treatments with my previous dog so probably was not paying a lot of attention then to news.
