In my heart forever...

« on: November 27, 2009, 08:43:52 AM »

We received a sample of Nutri Dog "all natural" dental chews made in the USA FOR 3M.  The package only says that 3M is a distributor -- nothing mentioned about the actual manufacturer.  ...Also says "caring for your pet for over 40 years."  I knew they made the sticky leg wraps vets put around a leg after a blood draw, but I didn't know about any other pet products...

Ingredients listed are as follows: potato starch, sweet potato flour, glycerin, water, cellulose, lecithin, molasses, natural chicken flavor, sunflower oil, natural spearmint flavor.

Warning: not recommended for dogs with a history of gulping, choking, or poor chewing capability.
........................................

I won't use it myself, but thought I'd possibly save it for a friend who may adopt in January.

3M is huge.  I guess I'm wondering why 3M is dealing with pet chews??

Here's a list of 3M products/services:

Buy local.  Buy organic.
If you ate today, thank a farmer, hopefully a small, local farmer.

Remember the thousands & thousands of pets that died to give US a wake-up call about the safety of ALL food and products.

Looking at the Nutri-Dog website, I noticed that the "fine print" says "made in the US for 3M with US & globally sourced materials" on the Skin and Coat and Hip & Joint formulas.  The dental ones are the only one of the 3 that just say "made in USA for 3M".

Believe it or not, they're in the veterinary products field for X-Ray and stethoscopes too!  Shocked

The lecithin in these chews is another name for SOY which is 89% genetically modified franken food unless it states 'egg based' lecithin. Also where are the chickens from with the natural flavor ingredient - how much arsenic do they contain?
