In Indiana, with three dogs, but only one was fed EVO. Gunner had this for a few weeks as a calorie boost, but we couldn't keep up with the price. I also had concerns about the moisture content. He did very well on the original formula. His runs didn't last more than a couple days. He enjoyed the taste and he looked completely healthy on it.
I would recommend it to most dogs, especially those who have grain allergies. I will, however, always warn that extra moisture of some form should be added.

I rotate between several grain-free brands every 3 months or so when the 28-30 lb bag runs out. Currently feeding my 10-m.o. Standard Poodle (in Los Angeles, CA  ) EVO Red Meat Small Kibble - she loves it and we have had no problems in the last 7-8 weeks she's been eating it. I also rotate between several different canned foods as toppers/mixers and EVO cans are part of the rotation. These are excellent too: all meat plus a little water for processing - my dog certainly licks her bowl shiny-clean every time it's EVO kibble with EVO canned food! |

Chicken & Turkey not a fave anymore. Venison, and the Beef canned are now the two Foxy Lady likes the most. Seems she prefers a solid type consistency rather than more moist as the Chicken is.
Venison still 4 paws up lickin' bowl cleaning good.

Thank you for your patience. We are aware of the current studies regarding carrageenan and the possibilities that it may cause gastrointestinal distress in dogs and colon cancer in humans. While we continue to monitor the current research, we feel that carrageenan is a safe ingredient to use in our products. Follow-up email I received 3-23-10:
Thank you for contacting Natura Pet Products. Thank you for your patience as we looked into this for you. The seaweed (carrageenan) is treated with alkali (a mixture of sodium hydroxide and potassium chloride or in some cases potassium hydroxide). It is kept somewhat below boiling point. When the seaweed is fully activated all residual alkali is washed out before drying and grinding.

p.s. from me - Now that I have removed it from Foxy Lady's diet, her poops have firmed up again as they were getting a lil runny. Do not know if the carrageenan had anything to do with it. Seeing as how it can affect intestines don't think I'll return to using EVO.

Served small can, 5.5 oz. of EVO 95% Salmon & Herring, Best By 4/05/12, 15ESM310 1150. This canned does not contain carrageenan and looks to be a new product.
