It was me & it was Purina 1 sensitive system dry dog. [my memory stinks too !]It turned out to be vitamin E,I had it tested at Expertox through Accutrace. I didn't have the test done for exact amount because it wasn't a toxin, but the bag was full of it. It looked like someone dumped way too much in during mixing or after it cooked.I never did hear back from Purina despite multiple calls. They did send a refund for all the other food that was in the pantry near it,& a sample collection bag[which I sent registered & have a signature for].I still wonder what they thought it was. I could not find a lot of info about toxic amounts of vit e, but it can & did cause diarhea for 5 wks in 1 of my dogs. It also can cause or make cancer worse.A lot of pf co's use vit e as a natural preservative,& we have been hearing a lot of complaints about gritty food again. If it looks strange, don't use it !

 :oHas anyone hear heard that Canidae is now outsourcing their food to Diamond? I read a posting on another forum and they posted an email they received from the company explaining their reasoning. The irony is the increased demand made them have to do this, and the main reason for the increased demand was that it wasn't a Diamond product!I have emailed the comp and also requested to reprint the email from the other forum. I will post anything I can.Just wondering if this is common knowledge yet.Their website doesn't have anything yet that I could find.
