I have Windows 7 and a wireless mouse on my laptop. I am using Fire Fox for my browser. Sometimes I experience a problem with the font changing on web pages when using the copy and paste shortcuts with my mouse (cntl + c, cntl  + v). I was trying to copy and paste something from a web page and then send it to myself via my web based email page. Something happened when I tried to paste it into the message box. The entire web page got much much larger than normal. I cannot seem to get it to go back to normal size again. This has happened to me before, but  somehow it corrected itself. I did not know how it did it. I've tried clearing the cache and shutting the computer down, but nothing has helped. It is only affecting this one page. It is somehow magnified and will not return to normal.

HELP!

Thanks

In firefox if you hold down ctrl and use the mouse wheel it will change the font size of the page - wheel up and it gets larger, wheel down and it gets smaller. Try this to make the fonts smaller again.

You can also disable this feature I think by doing this:

In a new tab, enter "about:config" in the address bar. Find the following attributes and change them:

mousewheel.withcontrolkey.action to 0
mousewheel.withcontrolkey.sysnumlines to true

Thanks, Ned! That did the trick and also explains why it is happening. I'm making a copy of this thread so that I will remember when it accidentally happens again. But the feature itself can be useful.

Glad to help! I admit I use this feature every now and then when the fonts are too small for my old eyes!
