Angry   It seems Yahoo has changed the format of their email service again. I cannot receive any email from my 2 accounts! This changed over night. I did a little research and I am NOT Alone! Why can't they leave things alone. Neither do I feel like expending energy tonight to search out how to complain to them. Has any one else here at Itchmo discovered a problem with their Yahoo email account?

With all this talk about Yahoo, I'm glad I have AOL.  My computer is slowly dying but at least no problems with AOL. Cool

On one of my accounts, yahoo is forwarding my email to a defunct hotmail account which is no longer even listed in my yahoo profile. I don't understand how they are doing that!

caylee,
I noticed the change of the format (look of the page) on my Yahoo account today, but I have not had any problems with receiving mail. Or, at least I did have mail today, so I assume all is okay.  I'm sorry you are having a problem!

I sent at least 3 test emails and didn't get any of them back. I sent BCC back to myself from my main ISP account and that is how I could tell that the yahoo accounts were not working.

Yahoo email sucks! I did solve the problem that they created. Somehow all emails were defaulted to forward to an email account that at looonnnggg past had been listed on the account. Where that information came from, I'll never know. Why in the world would they program something to default to an ancient email address?Huh

Anyway I did find instructions as to how to change the settings here:

Automatically forward emails with Yahoo Mail

It's good to have options. Your incoming emails can be delivered to your Yahoo Mail account, another email account, or both. Our auto-forwarding feature can make it happen.
Enabling auto-forwarding

In your Yahoo Mail:

Mouse over the Settings menu icon Gear Icon and select Settings.
    - The Settings window appears with Accounts selected as the default category.
To the right of "Yahoo Account," click Edit.
Under "Access your Yahoo Mail elsewhere," select Forward.
Enter the email address your incoming messages will be sent to in the "Forwarding Address" field.
Select your forwarding option from the drop-down menu:
        Forward only:
Your incoming messages are automatically forwarded to your selected email address.
Copies of the forwarded messages are not saved in your Yahoo Mail account.
Store and forward: Your incoming messages are delivered to:
Your Yahoo Mail account's Inbox (or other folder if you have filters set up).
The forwarding email address you designated.
Store and forward and mark as read: Your incoming messages are:
Delivered to the forwarding email address you designated.
Your Yahoo Mail account, where they're automatically marked as read.
    Click Save.

Disabling auto-forwarding

In your Yahoo Mail:

Mouse over the Settings menu icon Gear Icon and select Settings.
    - The Settings window appears with Accounts selected as the default category.
To the right of "Yahoo Account," click Edit.
    Select POP.
    Click Save.

Did you know? It's only possible to enable POP or Forwarding, but not both at the same time.

caylee,
I'm glad you solved your problem.  Yahoo has been quite messed up lately on many levels, not just the mail!

I'm switching my main email back to google because of all the changes at yahoo. I've noticed for the last couple months that the computers I use at work can't process whatever it is yahoo is doing.  While that seems to be slowly getting better, it has killed my desire to use yahoo.
