Just wanted to let everyone know that I've not posted for the last couple of weeks because of a slow computer.  I don't want you to think I've left!

Anyone else feel guilty if you don't post regularly?   Undecided

Grin I feel that way sometimes too.

And I had begun to wonder and hope all was well with you, Fizzy! Glad to see you back and hear that the problem was just the computer. Darn perplexing machines!

Yes, all is well now.....I'm doing the Happy Dance cuz I splurged and bought an IMac computer.  The problem I have now is I want to play with it, instead of cleaning my house! Roll Eyes

And the bonus is the keyboard is much quieter, so I'll be able to post at night without worrying if I'm waking DH.

Congrats - wish I could afford a Mac. That will be my next computer. What did you have previous to the Mac? A windows based computer?

LOL Catbird, YOU can't escape Grin

Not that I have that much to add, but..... I Care about all the people and furries here.  So,  I worry if I can't send out my love and support.

Yeah, we have a Dell.  It was 7+ years old.  We only called for tech support once, and it was a fine computer.  But I've had issues with security software, and slow performance for the last year or two.  The slowness got really bad this last month, even though I did all the clean up tasks and uninstalled a bunch of stuff.  I researched computers this last week, never considering the Mac.  I walked into a Best Buy on Tuesday to look at the newer Dell and the 1st computer I saw was the Mac.  That is when the drooling started.  I would be drooling still if Apple had not offered the 12 month same as cash offer.  This was a pure impulse buy.  We did not have it in the budget.  On the other hand, our computer was failing and the financing swayed us.  Every month when we get the bill, I will go to the closet where the Dell is residing and remind myself why we did it!

To be clear, the financing is with the Apple Store, not Best Buy.

Back on Topic.....you can't shut me up now!   Grin

I know the Mac's are expensive, but you'll be saved from a mountain of PC headaches. They are well worth the price.

I dropped off five CPU's, one of which was our first 386 with Dos and Win 3.1, five monitors, 3 printers, keyboards, etc at the Electronics recycling center a week or so ago. $60.00 fee.

Considering all these machines were around $1800 to $2000 retail list during their "latest and greatest" phase before they became obsolete. Quite an investment huh?  Three of the machines were company provided so at least I didn't lose money on those. The Company didn't even want them back when I left the firm. (I suppose it was a gift as part of my severance package)  Tongue
