Panicmouse makes Undercover Mouse, a skirt-type toy where the "mouse" runs around under the skirt. Very intriguing for kitties!
This is a toy that I've bought over and over again - maybe four of them? Problem with it is that the motor loses power after a while and gets very weak. Reviews on Amazon reflect people's frustration with this for an otherwise fun toy.
Panicmouse has tried to improve the toy with a different type of motor - the "2gen" model. If it lasts longer, that will be great, but there's a downside to the new motor - when the cat catches the "mouse", the motor clicks loudly. Clearly it's some kind of motor-saving mechanism, but it's annoying and can freak out sound sensitive cats.
My shy girl loved loved loved the Undercover Mouse and was happy to see a new one appear on the floor - but the clicking is really putting her off.
I'm surprised no one at Panicmouse thought that this would be a problem...

My sister bought this for my furkids. Their auntie always brings them great presents. They love, love, love this thing! Right, when they catch the tail it makes a loud clicking noise but they seem quite pleased with themselves that they caught it. We glued a 4-inch piece of sisal rope to the tail and it's apparently even more fun because someone relocated it to the other side of the room. http://www.hammacher.com/Product/77943

Sophs got this as a Christmas present from a relative and it scares her. We have found that things that look like they have something underneath them...including my foot under a blanket, scares her if it moves suddenly.

I bought the Japanese version of this - it's a big, big hit here! I don't know how the other ones work, but this one has 4 different modes -- slow, medium, fast, and random. The random is so well made! It goes in all sorts of long and short directions, fast and slow, stops a few seconds then goes again. Everyone was bonkers for this! It's also really nice to let them play with it while I clean or whatever. Yay for this toy! When I turned it off, everybody gathered and waited for it to start up again.

It's cool to see them enjoying their new toy so much. "OK, when are you going to turn this back on?" (However, just because of recent events, I think we'll pass on it here. )

I love it, your kitties always group around stuff. Things probably arent so scarey when there are a flock of cats together....uh I guess it isnt called flock is it...maybe a herd? Or more like a gang, lol Hey August, can you describe which kitty is which from that top pic? Is the tiny one, Sunday? And which one is the long haired one in the lower right? The colors of these kitties are beautimous!

Hey, I had the girls identified right, at least. But I still haven't learned to distinguish between those big orange boys, except when Friday is trying to get Chami to notice him, of course.
