Don't think I saw any post on this one yet. Any experience? I was thinking just as a once and a while alternate for a couple of my cats. I see it has menadione but figure that is probably OK if it isn't everyday. Anyone use this one? Thanks!

My cats didn't want to eat it, though it looked fine. They are quite picky, and they refuse most wet foods anyway, apart from some japanese brands.

Well, I did finally try one can split between the three cats. They loved it. Even Cougar the picky IBD/pancreatitis cat gobbled it up. Wouldn't feed it as more than a snack - but it was very good quality. It was real seafood, not at all like cat food. Wisconsin

I've offered 3 cans of this in 3 different flavors in the last week or so--tuna and calamari, sardine cutlets, and ahi tuna. It is the only canned food that all four of my cats have accepted--even the fussiest one who won't touch other canned food, or even raw meat, gobbled it. One who is not a fish lover did not eat as much. No problems noted so far. I agree that the quality looks very good; it looks (and unfortunately smells) like real pieces of fish and seafood. Some flavors do contain rice; I know this is a concern for some people. Wisconsin.

Writing in from Ohio...
I feed this to my cats on occasion that are recovering from the recall (Nutro). They love it. One is particularly picky...he still misses his cuts in gravy but I can depend on Tiki Cat to be gobbled up. Their quality assurance procedures are excellent and very reassuring. And although fish is not a recommended food item, it appears the fish they use is wild caught and heavy metal tested. I feel comfortable feeding it to my babies. Interestingly, it is not made in the US, but in a country with even more stringent procedures for food production.

I discovered a pet store in the area (Chicago) that carries this. It looks a lot like Weruva and is also made in Thailand. My cats liked it as much as they like Weruva, and of course it costs just as much. I wouldn't worry about the rice - its whole grains of rice, not rice protein concentrate.

Tiki Cat Makaha Luau Mackerel and Sardine in Calamari Consomme
WA state DSH freeroaming neighborhood cat
This cat food looked and smelled great just like real food. The cat ate most of the can. He just left the gel and what was attached to that. (I didn't mash it into the food.)

I have now been using this for over a year with absolutely no problems. This is one of the few cat foods that I can say this about. Even one of my finicky dry-food cats will eat this. My cats prefer the Sardine in Lobster Consomme', Tuna and Tilapia, and Tuna with Calamari. I limit consumption of tuna to once per week, based on guidelines regarding mercury.
Consistently high in quality. (Note: Sardines are supposed to contain small, soft bones. I mash them up.)

Are there better places to order the Tiki Cat from? I am interested in trying some of the chicken based Tiki's I am a little afraid with Rufus and all his bladder issues to try any fish as that seems to irritate his bladder the most.
Anyone try any of the Chicken Tiki's?
Thank you

According to their website, the chicken formulas do contain fish oil, which may pose a problem for any cats sensitive to fish.
