Ohio.  I fed the canned Organic Chicken & Vegetable Entree for a short time last year. They ate it for a few months then they suddenly refused to eat it any longer.

Just found a natural, organic, made in USA with non-Chinese ingredients ~ at the health food store where I shop. It was highly recommended by the owner and the website supports what she said. I have just started to add a teaspoon to my cat's regular food, so we'll see what happens. The website is petguard.com. It does have corn and other grains, but they look okay and we can't do no grain because of CJ's health concerns (IBD and ARF, now liver, too). Hoping that getting away from the additives and rendered stuff will help with the liver concerns too ~ fewer toxins to deal with. Wasn't all that expensive either.

Wisconsin.  I bought a couple of cans of this at the local co-op about 2 months ago.  It was the most expensive cat food I have ever bought, and none of the cats would touch it.

I found this in the wildly expensive grocery store that sells mostly organic food.  I went there to buy Wellness food ( they only have 2 flavors) and I bought a couple of these.  Socks is eating it sort of but she eats everything sort of.  I have not found any foreign objects or things that looked raw Roll Eyes so I am hoping this is ok.

I will not feed only one brand of food since the recalls so I am currently feeding at least 4 different brands.

I have recently fed the following PetGuard flavors to my cats:

Chicken Stew Lite Dinner
Turkey and Barley Lite Dinner
Premium Feast Dinner
Turkey and Rice Dinner

All three cats ate this well and there are no health problems.
Probably will avoid the ones with grains in the future.

This was purchased a few months ago from an independent health food store. The cost of the five and a half ounce cans was from 1.19 to 1.39, the three ounce cans were .99, and at that time they were further discounted twenty per cent. Cost may have gone up since then.

This is the only high end food I can find in my immediate area. I'm deep in the deep south.

Sharkey where do you live?  At the wildly expensive grocery PetGuard was only $1.19 same as the Wellness.  They only sell 3 flavors of PetGuard I wish I could find more flavors of the foods I am giving Socks.

My cat eats the Premium Feast flavor, the 3 oz. cans.  It's the only non-fishy canned food he'll touch.  Been buying for about a year, no issues thus far.

My experience only, contains my opinions:

My three cats have recently sampled the following flavors of PetGuard canned:

Savory Seafood Dinner
Fish, Chicken, and Liver Dinner
Organic Chicken and Vegetable Entree

The first two were consumed with gusto and plates were licked clean.

The Organic Chicken and Vegetable Entree wasn't completely eaten, they left small amounts in the dishes. In addition to chicken and turkey it contains brown rice, oats, carrots, apples, and cranberries.

All kitties are doing fine, no problems.

Cost of the five and a half ounce cans was 1.19 each except for the Organic Chicken and Vegetable Entree which was 1.79. No discounts this time. When told of the high cost of the latter flavor, all three cats gave me looks that seemed to say, "So?"

Also got some 3 ounce cans at .89 each.

PetGuard Chicken and Wheat Germ Dinner was eaten up by the cats and there are no problems. The cost of a 5.5 ounce can was 1.19.

This time I got some 14 oz. cans at 1.95 each, but have not fed them yet. (Where IS that can opener? Grin)

Wish I had access to something grain-free locally...

I have bought it at "WholeFoods" Atlanta area.  Cat thought it was "so-so"  I tried the organic and the regular flavors.

PetGuard Organic Chicken & Vegetable Entree

Best by 08/06/09

Just served up 2.5 oz of this in one bowl to all 4 monsters and they all liked it!   Shocked

There's still about 1.5 oz left in the bowl, so we'll see how the leftovers fare.

Yeah, eating that small amount of wet at one sitting is good for us.   Roll Eyes

Socks will not eat the organice chicken have tried it a couple of times.  Her favorite is turkey and barley lite 3 oz the last time I bought it there were not much of it in the store so I bought them all.  It is different than before drier and has this very dry brown blob at the bottem of each can. I gave her 1/2 a can last night and she ate it but only after a appetite pill.  She has not been eating the other flavors either but I might go back and see if there is a new batch available now.

Has anyone else noticed the change in formula, I wonder if it is just this one batch that is dry because the 5.5 oz cans in the other flavors seemed to have more liquid.

Is it just me or does all the food seem to be difference lately?

Mooch (my adventurous eater) ate some.  The other three snubbed it.
