Bug, are you talking about the evo dry turkey and chicken, or the food in the pouches? I hope you are saying they love the new dry turkey and chicken kibble, since I have two big bags of it now.

It's the dry they love, yes. I hope yours like it too.

Oh yay, the new lot of canned duck I got is back to the regular soft pate style! The case I bought last time, the consistency was more like ground duck in stew, which they weren't too thrilled with.
We still eat Evo original (although for the past year the consistency has been harder than usual and requires a ton of water mixed in to make it creamy), Evo 95% chicken & turkey, and Evo 95% duck and are doing really well on them.

I got a bag of Evo dry for our pregnant rescue kitty, so I decided I would let the 4 siblings have some, too. I actually tried feeding Evo dry to the 4 when they were little kittens but we had trouble with constipation and stopped using it. However, it was around the time that I was trying to transition them to other things, so that may have been the reason for the constipation. At any rate, I gave each of them a few pieces when I opened the bag the day before yesterday, and everyone seemed to be all right (knock on wood), so for tonight's dinner they each had a tablespoon with their wet food. Boy, were they happy! They munched and munched and munched and now everybody is asleep.

Not sure if this is the place to post this but has anyone heard that Natura is being bought by Proctor&Gamble? This is being discussed by the members of the Yahoo FLUTD group. Hoping it is not true cause my kitties love EVO 95% cans. Anyone else heard this?

I had run out of Evo, and not bought any more since I heard that P & G had bought it. After a week without any, I decided to buy a bag thinking that the formula couldn't have been changed that quickly. Well, I expected them all to pounce on it because they have NOT been happy with their FF canned lately and I have been throwing a lot of it away and just returned a case of May 2012 that I had thrown 6 cans away from.
Well, to my surprise, they were not enthusiastic about the EVO. I have not compared the ingredients to the older bag. I have been giving them more of the Purina Kitten Chow lately, in lieu of the missing EVO, and now they don't really want to eat that either. I will stop the kitten chow for a few days, put out the evo, and see what happens. It is possible that something, a FF flavor perhaps has upset their tummies, OR they are just not hungry, although they all crowd around their dishes as if they are starving, and when I put the FF down, they smell, look disgusted and walk away. Sometimes, they come back later and nibble without much enthusiasm.

BW, periodically, my cats do the same thing. Then, I break out the a/d and they clean their entire plate. Sometimes they just get sick of the same ol' and I go out and try to find yet another food they might like. Once the new one wears off, I go back to the old one and they're OK with it again. So far, though, they have never rejected Innova.

Unfortunately, both the "sure thing" cat foods my guys accept every time, without fail... Evo and Wellness... have both sold out this week. One to P&G, one to PetSmart. I feel like the whole industry of alternative pet foods is under siege by big business.

I feel like the whole industry of alternative pet foods is under siege by big business. I think you've "hit the nail on the head". All the mega PFCs seem to be buying out the smaller, better brands. Removing the competition? Less chance for the public to compare good & bad? Using the better brands reputations to bolster their own, damaged ones?

Evo and Wellness... have both sold out this week. One to P&G, one to PetSmart.
Just to set the record straight, Petsmart does not own Wellness AFAIK.

LOL... thanks for the clarification. What I MEANT was that P&G had sold the company to Natura, and Wellness had "sold out" by making a deal with PetSmart. You are quite correct - PetSmart has NOTHING to do with the ownership of Wellness or their parent company WellPet. Sorry for any confusion.

Well, I wasn't confused, far from it. I understood the point you were making, but this is the Natura cat food "experience" thread. The whole purpose of the food experience threads is for people to comment on foods they feed and how their pets do on the foods.
So, let's get back on topic here.

JM, maybe you can cut out the off-topic parts and insert them into one of the other two Natura threads ongoing?
