Trying out canned kitten foods & bought 2 cans of Felidae. Didn't know Diamond was making it until reading this thread.

Does anyone have current info on quality issues either direction?

This is also a hit with both kittens. It's a little bit dryer then the Wellness. There is some weird dark brown something stuck to the can lid.

Almost bought a can of it tonight, just wasn't sure.  Kittens love everything, I think, but it's important to find the right food.

There doesn't seem to be many choices in wet Kitten food. I'm open to suggestions!

In the middle of Salmon Felidae case (8 cans left approx); Marco finished almost entire bowl this morning...i did throw in 3 little morsels of a Nutro Salmon pouch, and made sure to heat it up 10 secs before serving, he almost finished it!  The consistency of the Salmon is amazing, the smell is good, and there's usually a few small unground peas in it and he even eats those!

Bought three cans of Felidae Chicken & Rice (13 oz), this weekend  - to rotate.

Was familiar from a few years ago with the Diamond PLANT connection.

There was a brown sticky on the lid.  Usually, Siberia licks the lids of Wellness cans, but didn't for this can opening (however, its a pop top - which I'm not especially fond of).

Everyone ate with gusto, except for Jimmy Kitty - whom has always been a little finicky about the wet food.  However, he eventually makes it through.  No adverse reactions (tried Felidae regular 3 years ago, it never went over well except for Baby Girl).

As a rotation food (and its much less expensive), I think I like it.  Will do more research on the site ($1.99 per 13 oz can at Reber, will be cheaper by case if I go for it).

Edit:

Felidae is $1.49 a can at Reber.

I believe they were canned at the same plant as Evangers, not sure where they are canned now.  The brown stuff may be from a bit of overcooking (since the plant got in trouble a few years back for under processing).

They eat with a little less gusto than the Wellness when reheated from refrig, but still eat all of it.

I like the price.  Will probably stick with this one for Rotation.

Innova Feline is $1.99 a can (I believe $1.89 a can via Case).

Felidae there would be $1.39 per can for a case of 12.

Weruva Green Eggs & Chicken, 1.69 for 5.5 oz cans, so possible 1.59 for 24.

Wellness Chicken WAS 2.39 ($2.29 for case of 12), but that MIGHT go up with the current situation, the other flavors were more expensive.

We have fed this food in the past as part of our rotation.
Is there a new owner? packaging changes have happened to the new grain free, it is now called pure elements
