Has anyone used this food and if so, what was your experience with it...or should I say your kitties experience with it?

I have used it in the past. It isn't grain free. My cats really loved it at first, then just liked it for about a bag's worth and then lost interest. They seem to be more hungry on it, like it has more carbs than protein. I have gone to Now! Grain-free with better results.

Never tried the food, but even Oreo[notorious for not eating treats] likes the Now grain free treats.A little pricy at $4.49 for 3.18 oz but other than canola oil & a lot of ingredients, they look pretty good. Have had trouble in the past with some of the ingredients listed, but so far no problems with it in the treats.

Remember that canola is genetically modified franken food. Hope that it does not mess with their intestinal health.

I don't think my cats have suffered from any of these foods (Go!) because of the canola oil inclusion -- no diarrhea or allergic reactions. I wouldn't even know what type of issues it would bring on (being a GM crop). We use a lot of canola up here in general ("Roundup Ready" or not) -- and don't even give it a second thought. This food has made them shiny and energetic. All my mom's cats are on it (in rotation) and look great as well.

This is how soylent green started, right?  Cheesy

On another note bug you will probably need to feed this over a period of time to see if any ill effects show up. Keep us posted should things change in their health as I would like a first hand knowledge of someone feeding food with canola in it to their pets.

OT for a sec. Soylent green -- that's funny. For sure, I'll let you know if something not so good happens! I've been consuming canola for years.

We had a medium happy reaction to Go! dry.  We'll eat it but we won't be thrilled to.   Wink

JJ,  >>canola is genetically modified franken food.<<
Oh my, I did not know that.  How would you know?!  I just use Berio extra virgin olive oil.  I hope that hasn't been messed with.

Sharky, OH my heavens!!  And it is advertised as such a benign vegetable oil that is GOOD for you.  Many people eat it thinking they are helping themselves.

I didn't want to write until I was sure....and I'm not really totally sure but....I don't really have anything else new in our rotation, so I'm thinking it must be the Go!........

Ever since adding this to our rotation, we've been having some toilet issues.  We normally don't have toilet issues when trying new foods.

Three of the four kitties have been having very soft stools.  (Funny enough, Chami who has had some constipation issues in the past is having no troubles at all.)

I've stopped Go! dry and it's been about a week - now it seems only Yoyo is having trouble (very muddy stools).   Undecided

August, which variety, date and lot? I use a lot of this product and haven't had these issues with my clan yet.
