I'm not sure there is such a thing as a trained cat.  I DO know WE are the trained, lol!  Ear plugs?

I think all you can do is tire him out with play before bedtime..? .maybe he will sleep later. Maybe. But cats do have different "timers" than we do. early am is very normal for him. Tongue
But one thing certain...if the "Rusty alarm" goes off every morning at a certain time - AND you have been responding to it...then he has already trained you, eek.  Roll Eyes

TY Fizzy1 & Meowli  he's likely trained ME LOL he def knows how to get my attention jumping around on my bed as he did this am  Roll Eyes tiring him out bf bed may help cats meow toy may help with that (a mouse motorized tail that spins in a circle ) What's the best way to Play with a fishing pole toy??? Either he's board with it or I get him going to fast have to be careful Maine Coons cats can get rapid heart beats and have a stroke!!! TY Rusty & Anne

Oh, I am very well trained!  I get up at 5:45 every morning to feed the crew.  On the other hand, I REFUSE to get up before 5:45 in the morning to feed them, even if I happen to wake up at 5:05 to bird song and tummy trampoline hour.   Cheesy
