How hard is it to bottle feed a 4-week-old?  I've never had kids, so no experience there, except my baby brother.

A 4-week-old kitten would IMO be pretty easy. By that time, they are not nursing nearly as often, and you might be able to transition them to wet food fairly easily in a couple of weeks, by mixing a little in kitten formula on a plate and offering it along with the bottle feedings. I have not had experience with this, but I think alek0's boyfriend's cat, Fee, was that age or younger when found. Hopefully alek0 will be able to come on and post about it.

Thanks catbird.  I had been asked if I could bottle feed this little one by a TNR group. Turns out she is eating some solids, but needs encouragement. Since I don't currently have an empty room to keep her in, I had to decline as she is too young to be tested for anything.  I have a spare basement bathroom, but there are no windows as it is below ground, just a fan. I don't know if that would be enough ventilation for her.  Probably not.
